Overcome Distractions During Games
Do you become distracted by external stuff when on the football field, such as by fans, the sidelines, coaches, or other people? Many things compete for your attention during games–some of these are important and others are not.
Most football players can let go of these “external” distractions when they play. However, the bigger mental game challenge is dealing with “internal” distractions. Internal distractions are you own internal gremlins that pop into your head.
An important mental skill for football players is to focus on the process–one play at a time. In video 2 of my series for football, I discuss how to focus your best on the field.
